Pilikia in the Snow

~ With Kula Bleu

They dogs are loving their Carhartt jackets and they are getting used to their boots, although Kula will still only let me put them in his back paws!

Pilikia Wears All Four

Brent–thanks for thinking of us; it means so much. We know everyone will love these photos of the two, and how Kula Bleu doesn’t wear all four boots.

This Week’s OwyheeStar News

Saturday at Owyheestar

DSC01231I was thinking of pumpkins. They need baked. Thursday brought snow; the early arrival of which was uncanny. The predicted cold weather had previously found Cliff scrambling to get things winterized. The high winds catapulted a couple chairs off our front veranda, and now they are buried in the snow. We need to get them extracted.

We spent the week dealing with the cold, the snow, and loose-ends of a personal sort. When we are busy doing the things–the ones, you love us to be doing, sometimes we ignore our stuff. It is not hard for us to do that either. These are the things like going to the dentist, paperwork, etc. This week; we worked on trying to reel in the lost-to-us, but need done, things on the list.

3_Millee X Stackhouse WK3-65In the midst of the not-so-pleasant stuff, there is something delightful happening! We are busy with puppies, and it is the stuff of happiness.
We have been trying to follow Zula Blue’s current litter each week on this blog. Zula’s babies are all the traditional smooth-coats. That being said, we also have a few longhairs. I must say their whimsical nature is like medicine to my soul. At three-weeks of age, they are beginning to change their looks. I find it delightful. Honestly, I am not alone. People are discovering the other Weimaraner–the longhair. The photo posted here is of a three-week old blue longhair cutie.

On a very personal note……

Cliff and I continue to celebrate the good news regarding my cancer treatment. Yes, I still have to have treatment, but there will be no chemotherapy. We thank our friends, family, and those who didn’t even know us that well who prayed for us. We have felt your love, as well as your support. The journey is not over by any means; nonetheless, it is shorter (and easier) than it might have been. Prayer yolked to a positive attitude makes a difference.

As Always…

Thank you for your love and support. Keep the puppy updates coming. They really help us, and people enjoy reading about your Weimaraner.  ~ Shela (and Cliff)
