Puskin & Marie
In Mesa, Arizona
The travels with Pushkin are going well. We arrived in Mesa yesterday morning. The photo is of a sunrise somewhere in Nevada. I am not sure where we were when I took it as we were driving from Susanville to Las Vegas. I do know that we had crossed the state line into Nevada.
I had to stop a little more often than I normally would to let Push exercise a bit but really no complaining on his part about the long ride. The picture of Pushkin was taken in my mother’s backyard in Mesa.
I know that I have said this multiple times, but thanks for the wonderful companionMarie

The Celebrated
Reznor

Hello Shela & Cliff, sorry it’s been so long since the last update. Our sweet Reznor is a little over 2 years now & is a healthy happy big goofy boy. We are so happy you brought him into our lives. He has been through 2 road trips down to California to visit with his extended family & does great on the road. His favorite thing to do is go to Marymoor Park which is a Disneyland for Dogs. He loves to be there to swim, play catch, run around ask humans for treats & pretty much ignore all the other dogs;)
Our Weimar Calendar
We decided to make a Reznor calendar this year as we got tired of not enough Weimaraners on other dog calendars & certainly not enough Blue Weims!
So now we get to enjoy his face every day/week/month of the year😍We hope you guys are doing well & I’ll try not to wait so long until the next update. Thanks, Anthony, Michelle & Rez

Annie Needs A Sister
~ Stepping up to a Two-Weimaraner Status

Annie (possible brain-freeze) but oh, the joy and the refreshment after the wait.
Sister For Annie
Bob and I are thinking of getting another Weim, a Blue female. Do you have any pups?
Shela Says—Availability is typically going to require a wait. We recommend everyone complete the application process at least six-months in advance and follow up by locking in a place on the Wait List (by giving us a deposit). Until we have the Wait List deposit, you are not in line to get a puppy. Of course Patricia, I have answered you privately about our current availability and the timeline.
Shipping A Pup
Also, it is an 8-hour drive for us, do you ever ship the pups?
Shela Says —We can ship a puppy, and it is only a one-hop flight from Boise to Portland or Seattle. That being said Patricia, Cliff and I try to make the exit process as safe, stress-free and easy for the pup and their new family. Most Pacific Northwest families meet him near Pendleton. This exit scenario requires planning as we can only make one trip per litter, but this is in the best interest of the pup and their families.
There is less risk of exposure to the deadly Parvo Virus–which undoubtedly has infected every pet area or frequent stop along the highways. Secondly, when the pups travel a distance together, it seems to ease the stress. It is like one of our many adventures–they load up and go for a drive a way from their former home, and then depart with their new forever family.
My suggestion is that we explore the options and see how we can best accommodate the exit process. I should also mention that folks have taken a flight from Seattle or other airports, and flown into Boise. We met them at the airport, and then they carried the new baby home as a carry-on. It is another way to get off to a great start with a lower risk factor. The time spent settling in the Sherpa Bag often proves beneficial on so many levels.

Annie Gets Spayed and other News
Annie is doing well, such a sweetheart and very spoiled. She really is a good girl most of the time, very busy! Took her to the beach for 5 days. Every time we slowed down in all the coastal towns she would start whining. Finally, after listening to her for a few hours we parked in the shade, rolled down the windows a bit and went into some shops. Gone for about 20 minutes, got back and boy was she a good girl for the rest of the trip. She finally got her ice cream cone. (photo above)

We are glad the much-loved Annie got her ice cream. We sincerely look forward to working with you again–getting Annie, a sister. We are positive she can lead the way and teach ‘Whining 101’ to the new upstart.
Sometimes
I Travel
It depends on where we are going. I sometimes travel wearing the safety harness because Mom says I cannot be unsafe in the car. Other times I am allowed to use the counsel for my pillow. It is then I can look up and send laser beams to give my Mama the signal for what we should do next. I like the Puppucino and a vanilla cone. It is amazing how she speeds right by the ice cream joint and the coffee place.
Are You Traveling
A lot of you are probably doing something fun today. Maybe it is a family reunion. Or the traditional BBQ with friends and family. Others have gone to the mountains, the beach, or a local event. Whatever you do, be safe. Oh, and have some watermelon along with your ice cream.
Happy Labor Day Weimlovers!
Featured Weimaraner — Shaydee
Shaydee arrived safely at her new forever home–she loves her family, and they love her too!
Hollee reports: We made it home about 6:30 last night. WHEW! what a long trip it seemed. Their were tons of deer and elk along the road, but thank goodness we didn’t pick up a hood ornament on the way home.
Shaydee is our snuggle-bug!
To be absolutely honest with you – I ABSOLUTELY love my Shaydee !!! She has been such a good girl. SO smart and she really traveled well. Then she was a ball of energy when we got home and she met the kids. They adore her! I don’t think any of us wanted to go to work or school today – we just wanted to play with her.
We ended up going to your favorite farm store (D&B Supply) yesterday and got her same puppy food you have been using. We also happened to pick up a little Boise State Jersey (soooo cute). I included some photos of her in the BSU Jersey. I loved that store! I could have bought a TON of things! 🙂

Shaydee just learned that when you join the family, you take on the political affiliations, religion, and team fanaticism. Go Broncos!
PS: We all love Shaydee, but even the old man Meade (our original Weimaraner) doesn’t think she is too bad. he just gets on the higher couch to get out of her reach. 🙂
Breeder’s Note: OwyheeStar thanks Hollee and Wes for their continued support. Their recent loss of Gracie hit hard and deep, and condolences have been sent their direction. Now, Shaydee has a large set of paws to fill. We know she is up to the task!
