The Time Change
It’s Exhausting
~ Don’t You Agree
Berkley here, “I can’t keep my eyes open, can you?”
The time change is tough on human and the Weimar. There have been a lot of cute posts about us Weims not cooperating with the change in schedule, but seriously, what do you expect? We manage a lot of details within the household. Being on time is essential–when it comes to eating, going certain places, the arrival of the humans, and never more than at our bedtime. So, what’s up with this time thing?
Me and Some of My Fav’s
Breeder Comment
Thanks to Berkley and her family. They always send us great videos and photos. We truly appreciate them. There were other family photos, but this one–don’t you agree? She lives the life that means she is a part of the family–whatever they are doing you see Berkley is involved. We love that!

Costume Or Not
~Halloween is Coming
What’s your take on the costume thing? Do you insist they put on the garb, trot around, and act silly? Two of the three is a given with this breed, don’t you agree? Do they trick or treat with you?
Are they spooked by the costume attired visitors–if you have them coming to your door. I seriously don’t know what people do in this day and age. There are community events. Some churches host the Trunk or Treat thing–filling the trunk of the cars with goodies to pass out. Some folks turn off the lights, lock the door, and pretend to be gone.
Typically, we only get Trick or Treat callers that we know–last year it was our two Great Granddaughters. We have neighbor kids living less than a mile from here. I suppose it is always a possibility that they might show up. We will be prepared. Maybe Stackhouse needs to dress for the evening. I will have to think about that. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts. Feel free to share photos from previous years. This one of Bella is from 2016. I still love it. I bet you do too!

Charlie Blue
Change Happens
~ Here is Our Update
I am way overdue for a Charlie Blue update! Our lives have changed quite a bit in the last year. We got an English Bulldog puppy and moved from Boise to Seattle.
Charlie despised Bosa when we first brought him home. Bosa is almost a year old now. Charlie tolerates him, but he’s still not her favorite.
She prefers to snuggle with our kiddos and our cat, Ish. Charlie has made new friends in Seattle and she loves the ocean. I will never forget the moment when she first encountered waves. But some things never change.
She still loves retrieving, swimming, racing in snow, finding birds (even when we aren’t hunting), going on fishing and camping trips, running free, stealing food, ripping up pillows, and hogging the bed.
I create a photo collage of Charlie for her birthday every year. I can’t believe she’s five! We love her more every day. She truly is the best family dog.

Charlie Blue has an interesting life. We do so appreciate everything you have done with and for her. Thank you, for remembering us. It means the world.
Don’t Eat the Tulips
Not A Salad!
We all know all too well our beloved Weims can eat almost anything. These photos tell a story. Can we all see the wheels turning? Why would I want my chew stick when there are the beautiful tulips waiting to be picked?
Not every lovely plant is safe for the Weimaraner. Tulips are #6 on the list and follow the daffodil–click here for Web MD’s List. Their list is short if you search you find the number of dangerous plants to your dog is lengthy.
How We Spent Easter
Day of Rest
We have to get our beauty rest. We share our bed with our humans. It is vitally important that we have a good bed and plenty of room to stretch out.
Later (Emma and Alice)
A little sunshine and more comfort. Sometimes it is musical chairs we play.

Clearly, the weather is beautiful in this photo too! Cheryl reports these two girls are the best of friends and sisters. What more could we ask?

The photos were taken of Greta (OwyheeStar’s No Regrets) the week of Easter Sunday 2012. The lovely Gray Ghost wearing the bow tie is an OwyheeStar. His name is Miles (Livee X Blue).
Weimar Games
Snowball!
Gracie made this game up as is the way with Weims. She buries the ball under the snow and then surprises herself when she digs it out – every time! She lets me throw the ball every so often so I don’t get bored. Out in the snow with Gracie and our best to you.

Didi, Part One
At 6 Years
Hi, this is Blake, my wife and I got our Didi from you and Cliff in early 2011. I apologize for not writing in ages, but we wanted to drop a line to let you know that Didi is great, in very good health and is still energetic as ever, even as a 6 year old girl now. Lily and I don’t have any children so Didi is our baby and we can’t imagine life without her. She loves any type of activity we do, but definitely swimming and hiking are her favourites and we can’t keep her out of the water. I’ve put together a bunch of photos of Didi around Vancouver and the surrounding mountains and ocean.
Mom Loves Didi
My mother has also written a little piece about how much she loves your Weims, and how much Didi means to her and my sister, so I will send that along as a separate email. She has been urging me to write and send pictures because she reads your blog on a regular basis.I hope you and Cliff are well and I hope you enjoy the pictures of our little girl.~Many thanks, Blake and All
