Moxie says
~ We voted!

She slobbered all over the ballot envelope but everyone was so impressed she carried them in. I can’t thank you enough. She is so smart and a great companion. Whether it’s lounging on the couch and cuddling hard or bringing in the newspaper. Life would be so dull without her. I’m hooked! On another note, I adore all of your blogs and love the weekend updates on you & Cliff. The last pic you posted of him holding the 3 pups is so good. What a great pic. I very much enjoyed Loki’s post today. Ski patrol. So awesome! No surprise though. These Weims are so smart and want to learn. Amazing Shela. Thanks for all you do.Chrissy

~It’s Style
We are doing well. She has quite the temper and will let you know if she doesn’t like something. We are working at getting past the sharp puppy teeth thing. She is going to be a Sharp Hunter.

Cooper
With Luke
~ Makes us a Two-Weim Family, Again!
The boys are doing very well.
Cooper is sleeping through the night in his kennel and has only had 3 pee learning experiences in the house in 10 days.I think we are on our way, thanks to your great pre-training. They get along pretty well. Now for the 8-hour drive to the desert on vacation, figure it will be best to stop along outbid the way stops for potty breaks as the rest stops and main exits see 1000’s of visiting dogs which could pose a problem until the pups received his final Parvo shot.
I’ll keep you posted – thanks again.~Cal — (17+ Years and we are Still Talking about the Weims)

Thanks for being such a loyal client. It looks good to see Luke tolerating the new upstart. It sounds like things are going well. Enjoy the vacation–it should be an excellent time of bonding.
Two Blue Gems
Troy and Macy
~(March 9, 2018)
Here’s a photo of Troy and Macy today!
I just wanted to see how you guys were doing since I haven’t spoken to you for so long. I also wanted to let you know how much we love Troy! When we first got him from the guy in LA in 2009 I was sure it wasn’t going to work. But after keeping to Cliff’s advice of letting him learn from the other two dogs – he melted right in with our home, and into our hearts! Just wanted to touch base with you. God bless!

It is nice to hear from longtime OwyheeStar Weimlovers! Brad has been a faithful fan for more years than we can remember. Troy was his third OwyheeStar. He took the risk to pick him up when things went sideways with his original family. Typically, we don’t do that kind of thing–ask for help. Nonetheless, everyone needs a bit of help from time to time. This rehome situation seemed like something that might be a win-win situation. We are so happy to hear our assessment was accurate. It is outstanding to get this photo and to learn they are doing well. Thank you!

Hello From Kula and Pilikia
Is your life crazier than usual? Do you wonder how you will get it all done–even when you love everything about the Holiday Season? Kula and Pilikia send greetings and talk about their many roles in the household. They have many things they see as the norm.
- Their dad (Brent) goes away and sails all over the world. They have to wait at home with Mom in the home port for his return. They keep Mama safe.
- Their Mama goes to work and sometimes they just have to watch the property. That can be a big job with nosy neighbors and whatnot.
- There is staying in good shape mode in their household too! It involves hiking, running, biking, exploring, and whatever else the folks add to the agenda.
- Finally, there is the sofa warmer responsibility.
- We are the come with duo–we love taking the time to get away to our retreat at Downy. “Woof!”
~Mahalo
PS: Dad wanted to make sure you knew we were keeping up our end of the deal here in California.
Featured Weimaraner — Roxy
Our Roxy girl hit a milestone with her 10th birthday today (4/09/2013)
Since we did not have children, we decided to search for a good Weimaraner breeder back in 2003, and found OwyheeStar just in time for Dottie & Silver Turbo’s new litter.
🙂
We had been forewarned about the crazy mannerisms of Weims and endured those first two years without any furniture being eaten.
Our Garden Assistant
She was never a hunter and she hated the water, but she loves to pull weeds in the garden (and was fondly nic-named “Rootin’ Tootin’ Roxy” as a puppy).
The hostess and official welcoming committee.
We owned a dog boutique a few years ago, and she helped model the merchandise and greet our customers.
She loves people and has an incredibly goofy grin when anyone comes through the door; (she will come running up to greet us with a big toothy smile).
She has always been well behaved, and such a love. She is so connected to us and is never in another room without us.
The last couple of years she started really slowing down, but her heart just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
We are thankful for each shared adventure
She spends her weekends at the beach in Ventura, CA searching for the perfect stick, or hiking the Ojai and Montecito trails.
We are forever grateful to Shela and Cliff for entrusting us as Roxy’s parents – she is without a doubt one very loved Weimy 🙂 ~ Renee & Tony
