~ Our beautiful girl left us today
December 18, 2019
Our beautiful Jorja went to Arliss and Arleen today. I saw it happen, I had been out of town for a couple of days, she was so happy to see me and go on our walk today. She even posed for the pictures, not always. Look at pacific humane @ Long Beach , WA and you will see info . All I can say I watched it, never braked, or slowed and keep going. Hit her straight on, she had a huge reflective collar on. Needless to say we are heartbroken
And you and Cliff can add that she was loved by all that met her, she never met a strange and was my walking group pup! We had many, but she was the favorite. she would run free and check on me as on our Belgium walks, but here, not just me but everybody! Jorja was named the Lady Pacers mascot.
There are no words to cover such a loss–and we join in grieving her loss with you. We remember when you got Jorja–she traveled around the world to join you in Belgium. She recently returned to the Pacific Northwest–now this. She celebrated life with you–all it meant for you and her. Thank you, for all you did for her.
Breeder’s Note: We were beyond ill after receiving this note. We have withheld information about the pup’s identity, and anything that would lead back to the owner’s identity. Having a Weimaraner means being vigilant, and sometimes making big changes to your lifestyle. Failure to do so, might lead to tragedy.
Here is the edited note we received…
All 3 dogs were adjusting and getting along much better. I had many different thoughts about the future of all our weims, but, i never imagined that our OwyheeStar Weim would pass away so young….. all our hearts are breaking, the pain is almost unbearable. We had only known him for a few months — he was smart, he could retrieve balls and a frisbee, he barked the most often and the loudest in the neighborhood (pissing off our next door neighbor no end). he was a delightful dog and we loved him with all our hearts and souls. We miss him so much! Our house and the entire neighborhood is silent since his passing — no barks from any dog can be heard — they must know he is gone.
This pup had a bad habit of counter surfing, which we were not able to break him of. He recently grabbed a piece of uncooked meat I was preparing for dinner from the cutting board — he was so fast, none of us could catch him, and he consumed it before i could get him.
The final Counter Surf
Anyway, he got a hold of some blood pressure pills from the counter (he had the cap in his mouth when I came into the living room) so we never knew how many he took. The vets did their best, but to no avail. He died at home on Saturday afternoon with his mom and dad and Tony.
A sad ending
I thank you for selling us him. I am most sorry for this dreadful sorrowful ending.
Sonia is just under 3 years old and amazing! It has been a while since we updated so I wanted to share with you this photo and let you know she is doing very well. We are still so grateful for her. We were concerned about her for a bit as she was acting lonely after Clifford (the adult Weim we had when she came home) died a few months ago, but she has pulled through it fine!
Breeder’s Note: Change is always difficult for the Weimaraner. They love all in their lives so completely, any loss is unthinkable. We are glad she is doing well. Thank you for the update. We are so very sorry for your loss. Words do not cover such a loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers. ~ Shela and Cliff
