What Could Be Better?

Kobey and Miss Mavery.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that my family and I may be looking for another Weimaraner. We are not looking for a puppy though. After purchasing our sweet Kobey from you about 3.5 years ago. We have added a human addition 🙂 Kobey is absolutely amazing with her 🙂

I have been wanting to find a grown friend for kobey because we have a little bit of land here and he loves other dogs so much. Not sure I want a puppy again though. So just wanted to let you know just Incase you here of a weimaraner in need of a new forever home. Not picky as long as the dog would do well with kids and of course another dog. A smaller female would be ideal but not necessary. Thanks in advance for keeping me in mind if you here of a friend for my doggy 🙂 Mandie in McMinnville Oregon

We might have something that would work for you. Of course, when you talk about incorporating an older Weimaraner into the family, it requires careful planning. We will be back to again, soon.

Cabela

~Part Three

~ We Miss Our Sweet Girl

This video (click here) was a couple years ago, after Cabela had had her teeth cleaned and a small growth removed from her eyelid. Ella (our middle kiddo) was all about taking care of her.

Thank you so much for chatting with me, I’ve found comfort in sharing our memories of Cabela. Like you, I feel like it was just yesterday that you were emailing me to tell me her miraculous birth story. She is so very missed.

I know we can relate to the loss or the fear of the loss of our beloved Weimaraner. No one is ever prepared to say goodbye. Cabela had the best possible family and life–for that, we are ever so thankful.

Her family knows she cannot be replaced, but Caleb (the gray male they got from us some years ago), needs a new sister. So, soon Clover (another Blue Female) will join this family. We are honored to know them, and touched by their loyalty.

Breakfast Buddies

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day according to the experts. Well, it is all the better when you have a Breakfast Buddy, don’t you agree?

Struck Gold, Again

Our Quinn

    ~He is Amazing!

We just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you and Cliff for this amazing little guy. He’s the perfect addition to our family, and makes us laugh daily with his goofy personality.

image3I think we struck gold again because Quinn is just as mellow as Jake was as a pup. He house trained quickly, is very smart, and goes right along with the rest of the pack as you thought he would. Our girls absolutely adore him.
We’re so grateful for the work that you and Cliff have done to give our boys the best foundation! Hope you are well.
Sincerely,
Lindsay and Quinn’s Human family

We appreciate loyal clients like you–and we are beyond happy that your second OwyheeStar worked into the family so well.
We truly appreciate the update. Thanks, ever so much.
PS: You know how we feel about calling any Weimaraner mellow–Mellow Weimaraner qualifies as an oxymoron. (Haha)

Our Macey

Not a person goes by that doesn’t say she is the best looking dog they ever saw.

Macey and our son are best friends it could not have worked out better. Thanks for your hard work. ~ Don

Don, we appreciate your loyalty. After your first OwyheeStar Versatile Hunting Weimaraner passed, you could have gone anywhere. The long distance and the logistics of making this all come together make this all the more amazing. We look forward to hearing about her antics as well as her success in the field.

Remy

My Sidekick

~ She has grown a lot since we brought her home

image-13-06-18-10-57Here is a quick update on Remy. She’s doing great and growing up so quickly. She is my little sidekick all day and we love that she is getting the family out on walks every day.

The Dog Park & More

image-13-06-18-10-53I introduced her to a local dog park last week and once she got used to, she really enjoyed being off leash.
She’s a sneaky one, always has her eye on any food on the counter and the squirrels in the backyard tease her daily. She started obedience school this week and is so quick to learn, she really does want to please and I’m sure it will bond us even more. The kids adore her, the daily greeting at the bus stop is the best part of our day. Hope you and Cliff are well!

We realize Remy is about six-months-old. It is amazing how they can still be a puppy and look adult. It is great she is getting the socialization and interaction at the classes. Yes, I am certain she is very intelligent.
Thank you, for all you are doing with Remy. We truly appreciate you remembering us!

What a Beginning

Macey

     ~Friends for Life

I got a Weim a number of years ago from Cliff and Shela. They passed on and every since I have been trying to get another Weimaraner from OwyheeStar. As it happened, we now live in Tennesee; however, right when the puppy was old enough to fly as it would happen, we were in California. Cliff and Shela shipped the puppy to me — a direct flight. The next day we boarded the flight with our new family member (as our carry on) to fly back home. It could not have worked out better.

Our Son and Macey

My son wasn’t too fond of dogs before meeting Macey. This disinterest was because he was never really attached to any we have had; probably because they never came to him. Then, there was the Cocker Spaniel who was outright mean to him. Thank you, for putting a huge smile on his face.

The puppy was amazing on the flight home. There have been no accidents in the house. She is great, we couldn’t ask for anything more. Tonight will be her first journey on the boat and maybe she will get in the water. Thanks, again–Don

Don, we are so happy to hear that your son has a dog. There are so memories being made even as I type this note. A boy and his dog. Isn’t it fabulous? Cliff and I wish you all the best with Macey–we hope she shapes up to be a fabulous versatile hunting companion. May she live long and bring in the birds, too! We look forward to hearing about your adventures as they unfold. Drop us an update whenever you find the time. We appreciate your loyalty. People like you make what we do worth all the effort. Thanks ever so much!
