~ Our Snuggle Bug Rides
Here are some photos of Remy Blue in the car. She enjoys sitting in the car regardless of whether or not it is moving.
It seems we are in a season of challenges; there are so many of our friends and family who are going through difficult times. We’re keeping both you and Cliff in our prayers. Please give Cliff a big hug from us. Remy Blue especially would be there to snuggle close to him.
Blessings to you and your family,
We are overwhelmed in a good way –by the generosity, love, care, and your response in our time of need. We are delighted to know that Remy is thriving and an integral part of your life. Thank you for this update. We are sure everyone will enjoy seeing Remy. Might we suggest you click here to read the last blog featuring Remy Blue?!?
~12 Years Young
Emma is 12 years young I don’t have any secrets on how she has been able to stay active and young at heart other than her DNA, lots of love.
Alice (our second OwyheeStar) and Emma is a very special girls to our family. We are overjoyed that Emma is still so healthy. We thank you so much for our amazing best friends ♥️♥️♥️We love them so much We will continue to update Thank you again for your blogs too!
Thank you guys. This is especially good news–12 good years is excellent. We hope for more of the same.
~ Part Four
Remy Blue is instinctively a hunting dog. She loves to point, fetch and explore. She’s already chased a small bobcat out of our backyard and saved our suburban chickens. She’s fierce.
Now that we have grandmom recuperating from hip surgery and living with us, Remy Blue’s behavior has been quite gentle when around her. We count this as a true blessing and are amazed at her ability to discern when to be calm, relaxed in her mannerisms.
Then again, Remy Blue’s toys are another issue altogether!
We’re having a wonderful time with Remy Blue being part of our family. In fact, off and on we’ve been discussing getting a “brother” for Remy Blue. After seeing the photo of the two Weims peering out the window, we’re convinced we should do it when Remy Blue turns 2 years old.
Thank you for a wonderful being; Remy Blue is exceptional and quite a character. She’s never at a loss for expressing herself. She’s a love.
Dear Sayho–we look forward to working with you again when you become a Two Weim family. We appreciate this lovely detail (photo filled) update. I am sure our readers feel likewise. Thanks ever so much–have a lovely summer with Remy Blue.
~ Part Three
Remy Blue loves her various dog beds throughout the home. From her “baby puppy” bed to her grown-up bed, she’s a snuggle bunny. She’s also a big help for my daughter with homework.
Puppy bed is a bit too small, but Remy Blue thinks she can still fit.
As a puppy, Remy Blue loved to sit behind me on my office chair. Often times, she would fall asleep in the funniest positions.
As she grew older and larger, Remy Blue opted for being cradled in my lap with her full little belly facing outward.
Here is one of our first attempts at taking a selfie. Not sure if her expression is one of concern. It was never published.
On April 10th, 2019, Remy Blue celebrated her 1st birthday. We took a photo with her in relation to a “deck of cards”. If you remember, she was very petite at birth and a survivor. I hope you still have her birth photos; unfortunately, I “lost” all the photos and videos you sent because my Outlook got corrupted. She is grown to be around 60-65 lbs. In short time, her birthday “rabbit” was promptly chewed at the ears.
Well, we looked for the photo showing the card next to you Remy Blue–could not find it. We did find this photo of you resting in Christina’s hand–you were three days old and so tiny.
We hoped you would live–you were so precious. Look at you a year later–Happy Birthday Remy Blue.
Watch for the next (and final segment) in the update Sahyo has been so kind to share. We truly appreciate it.
~ part two
Trips to the “holistic” vet have been fine. No issues with the titer testing, in fact, our vet was quite pleased with your protocol. Remy Blue did fine. Next big milestone is spaying sometime this summer.
Remy Blue took to initially swimming in our pool. She is much more adept at the water than Riley, our last Weim.
Car rides are fun, but Remy Blue becomes sad when my daughter, Evi exits the car for her activity. The tears of a Weim are so heartfelt. She also likes drinking my coffee; she seems to want me to stop at Starbucks for another.
Beach walks are fun for Remy Blue. She seeks out other dogs and wants to run and catch the water. I thinks she likes being a California Weim.
It is so great to see Remy Blue in her element and to hear how well she is doing at the Vet Visits, traveling, and enjoying the beach. Yes–she is a California girl.
~ Update from California
Just kept thinking I needed to let you know how Ace was doing. Hopefully you were thinking no news is good news in his case! By the picture, you can see he is indeed alive and well. He still is getting both the Probiotic you recommended and the Nuvet supplements.
He is growing and putting on a little weight thank goodness! He is currently at about 44 pounds. Still is a little prone to the looser stool towards the end of the day but I think we ALL can live with that. His adult teeth are growing in and we will be checking in with the vet in another month or so to schedule his neutering. All in all a great dog. Not too hyper. Not a barker and has only destroyed a minimal amount of things. Lol! Actually I can’t really think of anything that he actually destroyed. Maybe “diminished” a few things is more accurate.Thank goodness that he is crate trained 😊Hope all is well with you and Cliff.
Your Friends,Dee and Ace🐾
He looks to be healthy and happy. Thank you, for remembering us–it is good to hear about little ‘Ace’.
Luke and Coop
The boys are doing great! Hope you are too…
Here are a couple stoic Christmas poses, they love the photo attention and will sit until you get it… Ha Ha.
They have become best buds, well at least Coop thinks so…
I’d say this is another successful placement by the two of you, we couldn’t have asked for more.. ~ Cal
Thanks once again, Cal, for another great update. Sorry–it took a while to get posted. I am sure everyone is loving the photos especially the Christmas light thing.
More than a bath
Thank you, for always thinking of us Cal. We appreciate the extra effort you put into these updates. We are tickled pink your two boys are well-adjusted, happy, and thriving.
Ducky came into my life on his 8 week birthday. My first Weimaraner, Ted, was a silver grey so I decided to go with a blue this time around. People often ask me how I came up with the name Ducky. I have a litany of answers: he was born in Oregon, he was #7 of 9 in his litter – so a lucky duck, he waddled a bit like a duck as a puppy, I’m Mindy Brown and there’s a famous fashion designer in NYC named Duckie Brown – but most important, I just liked the name, I found it unique and it fit him to a tee! He has nicknames like Duskster, Duck Duck, Ducky Brown, The Baby, King of the Hill, my Angel, etc. but mostly he’s just plain ole Ducky. He’s also my Hunter. That hunting lineage is definitely at the forefront of his personality. He’s always looking for something to hunt down – whether it be a fly in my kitchen or a squirrel running across my back wall. He also thinks he’s a cat as he can leap and scale a 10’ wall. He’s not so ball crazy as my last Weim, but he definitely likes to play – only problem is – he destroys all of his toys. He’s definitely an elite athlete. He loves to go to the park and play frisbee – loves to run on the beach and loves to go for rides in the car. He likes to bask in the sun and lounge after his off leash hikes in an unincorporated area of Palos Verdes. He loves to play with other dogs and is as fast as lightning – always the leader of the pack. He prefers to have a part of his body touching me and usually has a shoe, slipper or piece of my clothing tucked under his snout. He likes to sit wherever I am and often times stretches a body part on me. He’s also very loquacious – as he’s always talking to me – especially when I’m cooking in the kitchen or working on the computer. But above everything – he loves loves loves to eat! This dog has one mighty appetite and loves his fruits and vegetables.I honestly didn’t think I could ever find an equal replacement to Ted, but after 3 years and several trips to Sun Valley – I put all my faith in Shela and Cliff – and my prayers were answered. I had only two requirements: a large blue male – and sure enough, I got that and much more. Above and beyond all of his other great traits, he’s the SWEETEST and SMARTEST dog and an amazing companion!
~ We voted!
She slobbered all over the ballot envelope but everyone was so impressed she carried them in. I can’t thank you enough. She is so smart and a great companion. Whether it’s lounging on the couch and cuddling hard or bringing in the newspaper. Life would be so dull without her. I’m hooked! On another note, I adore all of your blogs and love the weekend updates on you & Cliff. The last pic you posted of him holding the 3 pups is so good. What a great pic. I very much enjoyed Loki’s post today. Ski patrol. So awesome! No surprise though. These Weims are so smart and want to learn. Amazing Shela. Thanks for all you do.Chrissy
