Bella Celebrates Three!
This princess is 3. Whoa …how time flies.
Seems like just yesterday we brought her home. This girl stole everyone’s heart from day 1.
She is so adorable and cute.
She barks and chases everything, birds, squirrel, dragon flies ,,, in the water at the dog park 😉 We love watching her and her facial expression is priceless.
We thank you, Cliff and Shela, for giving her to us. She completes our lives.
Love, Sri, and Kevin
We love how you celebrate Princess Bella –her birthday, her daily activities, and whatnot. The fact that she is cherished is all we can hope for any OwyheeStar offspring. Thank you, both for the photos and the videos. We know everyone will enjoy seeing Bella celebrate her birthday. You have a way of bringing an elegant flare to everything you touch Sri. You bless us with your generosity and kindness. We count ourselves fortunate to be connected. Our wish is that Bella lives on and does well for many years to come. Thanks again for staying in touch too!
Greeting from Kalispell Montana!
Miss Layna Blue ( Greta x Blue 3-3-14) is doing great! We have enjoyed camping and spending time with family. The summer in the Flathead Valley flew by so I am catching up on a belated birthday picture just for you. We can celebrate 2 1/2 years old too right!!??
I cannot tell you how much I enjoy your blogs. Enjoying special moments will other Weim lovers is priceless… I think the best parts are when I recognizing her litter mates! Have a wonderful fall and keep up the good work.
Blessings to you and yours,
The Bauer Family
Thank You for thinking of us and sharing Layna’s story. People like you make this blog and our work possible. She looks punished with the dunce-looking birthday hat. Poor baby. It makes me laugh–and probably others too! She is versatile in so many ways. The sofa looks comfortable. That is always a good thing.
Yesterday was this crazy pup’s birthday. She finally made it to a year old (I had my doubts). I can not believe that it was a year ago we got a call from OwyheeStar Weimaraners (Shela and Cliff Nielsen), and we started the process of bringing Lexi home with us. Who knew she would become as important to us as some people’s kids are? ( lol) We could not have asked for a better pal than Lexi. We love this crazy little dog and we are excited to look forward to many more adventures together!!!
Therefore, we did what any good parents would do and threw her a birthday party, with a cake and treats for all her doggy friends!!!
Breeder’s Comment — We are happy to hear Lexi has celebrated her birthday in style. There is no way to understand just how life changing the Weimaraner experience is until you take the journey. Thank you for remembering us and for loving Miss Lexi so much. We sincerely hope she brings you years of joy.
The Demise of the Toy
It lasted all of 5 minutes! You can see what is left.
Some people enjoy this process with their Weimaraner. It is a common event. Nevertheless, you must be careful with ingested bits of the toy or the squeaker. Some Weims do not destroy things. One way to curb this behavior is not to let it begin early on–take away their bedding if they chew it. Don’t give them anything they can destroy without supervision. Then you remove it if they start to kill it. The other side of the coin is many people buy things for their Weim to decimate. That pretty much sums up the landscape. Happy Birthday, Blue Boy!
July 23, 2015--Today is Lucy’s 9th birthday. She and Luigi got a special treat of chicken while Bob and I sang Happy Birthday to her. I took a video that I hope turned out well enough for you to see and hear. We hope you enjoy it, although our singing is pretty bad!!! LOL!!! The kids, of course, gobbled down the treat. Lucy was smiling which I’m glad showed up on the video.

Breeder’s Note — Thank you, Idelle and Bob, for allowing us to share this video. Happy Birthday to Lucy!
She is as fast as the wind….
She could be the Golfer’s Friend…
The many faces of Maizie
She is 13 Years Old Today!
Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday Deli!
These photos of Deli (and Cliff) were taken last spring. As you can see, she is still spry. No one can guess how long their Weimaraner will live. Deli is doing excellent. We hope this continues on for her. Many of you would find her in your pedigree. For a girl who produced several litters, she is in incredibly great health. We had to have a benign tumor removed in 2012. That was the only hiccup in the path so far. Isn’t she grand? By the way, her actual name is OwyheeStars Special Delivery. “Deli” is her call name.
