Greetings From OwyheeStar
August is the stuff of Dog Days closely followed by back to school. Nothing is like it used to be; when I was, I kid we had a real summer vacation. We didn’t think about returning to school until after Labor Day. If we started before then, it was a quick in and out the door. Times have changed. Some change is for the good and some not so much.
It is good to have the memories of boredom–of looking for something to do. Time spent laying next to the boom box (with tunes my folks would rather not hear blaring) burning my skin to a crisp in the hope of gaining some color. A neighbor who liked to turn the sprinkler on and catch me unaware. He is still laughing about doing that even now when I run into him.
Memories we make with our family or a new puppy are something to hang on to with a tight grip. We want the kind that are heartwarming. Those that haunt us we need to cast aside–we cannot change the past. The most important thing is to live in the present. What once was is history. What we are doing today will soon be history. Get the photos and make the special moments happen. If you are stuck in a situation, make the most of it. Life is grand!

On a very personal note
It is pretty much the same thing. I am still struggling with the Lymphedema. I have at least one swollen lymph node in my forearm. I need these working because they removed 21 in the upper arm and around my breast. I think it is partially inflammation. I think I have a low-grade fever. All the professionals have a different idea–two of them agree with me. They are the ones working on this arm the most. The good news is it is not getting larger. I am limiting time on the keyboard and using it in general as much as is possible.
Cliff is busy with the remodel. It is a big task. We are hoping to be into this place by Oct 1st. I cannot say what will happen. I am trying to be as helpful as possible.
Thank you for your love and support. Keep the puppy updates coming–as I said above, I am running low on material. I need them for inspiration, and they brighten our day. Yes, and allow us to have something to share.

We wish Jan and Willow had come to our elementary school or school events. Jan and Willow are regulars in and around their community. We cannot thank Jan for all she is doing and has done with Miss Willow. The titles are beyond wonderful; however, the work they do with the public may well be the most important facet of their achievements. The rest is pretty fabulous window dressing.
