Dear Shela & Cliff,
I am writing to you today to ask for your help. My mom said that I couldn’t have a puppy until I proved that I could take care of a kitten, she says a puppy is a much bigger responsibility than a kitten is; well I think I’ve proven that I could take care of a puppy by the way that I care for my kitten! I snuggle him all the time, I share my bed, my kennel, my food/water, my Dad, I’ve tried to teach him to play ball but he won’t bring back the big ball … he will retrieve his cat toys though! We sort of hunt together, I tried to teach him to point but he doesn’t seem to understand. About hunting I’m not going to lie to you, I’m kind of stingy about what we catch (my cute little white kitten doesn’t need to play with mice & birds!). I’ve even tried to teach him object lessons like “See me on the counter?? That’s bad, you shouldn’t get on the counter!” Mom didn’t think that was a good lesson. I also still haven’t come up with a good name yet, he’s got several (Toonces, White Devil , Big Guy) but mostly he’s called Luna’s Kitten. I feel that I am ready for a puppy but mom says not for another year or two! Can you talk to her??!!
Thank you in advance for your help ~ Luna
