Dakota

Saying Goodbye

     ~Not Easy on Any Level

Green's Dakota2

Green's Dakota1You probably don’t remember us but we purchased our Weim from you nearly 14 years ago.  I wanted to let you know that we had to put our beloved Dakota down today.

You raise amazing Weims and a breed that has taken my heart away.  She was my best friend and wouldn’t have it any other way.  Thank you for allowing us to purchase her and I will always remember bringing home the purple collar puppy from your litter.

Breeder Comment

We do remember you, Nathan. We are so sad to hear that Dakota crossed over the rainbow bridge. There are no adequate words. I realize this news will touch many of our followers who dread the day this event visits their home. Others who have walked that path before you know firsthand the hole in the heart scenario left by such a departure. There is no avoiding it. The wonderful gift of sharing life with the Weimaraner never will last long enough for those of us addicted to this breed.

We appreciate receiving the news. We know you gave her the best of life. Thank you, for everything you did for Dakota.

Featured Weimaraner — True

I promised an update on True.  Here are a couple great pictures.  One is sitting in front of my daughter Bethany & her Vizsla Zugo at our house.  (True ADORES Bethany & Zugo!), IMG_0061and the other photo is just a great picture of her.  IMG_0064One of my favorites. She is such a loving sweetheart.  No sweeter dog than her.  We love her immensely!!  She is such a mama dog, too.  Puts up with Ruca in every way, and actually mothers her at times.  (Which is good for Ru.)  Ruca adores her also.  She fits into our family very nicely.  She doesn’t sleep with us, however, which is a rarity for a weim not to sleep or at least want to sleep on a bed.  Instead, she sleeps on our couch every night and guards our house.  Sometimes we hear her getting up in the middle of the night and checking everything out to make sure all is safe.  So cute. She is very protective! (Must be the mama instinct in her.)  She loves our walks, and is quite the hunter.  We love her very much.  She is doing great.True Leaves (3)

Breeder’s Note: When MaryAnn lost her beloved Kona, we knew that True would fill a place within her heart and family. In our way of thinking, it is better than True live out her golden years in the lap of luxury. Every joy and expense are hers –what more could we ask? It is better than being one of many, even though there are quite a few at her current home.

True fell for MaryAnn and they have been together ever since then. Thank you MaryAnn for making her a part of your family.
