Kona & Silas

Kona & Silas…

Enjoying the Good Life!

Kona & Silas

We thought you might like to see a current picture of Kona & Silas (originally known as Juble).  Silas has turned out to be an extreme sports enthusasist (he needed 15 acres and a National Forrest to run in!!), and Kona is slowing down now @ 9.5 yrs.  She is still in EXCELLENT shape, and is more of a lover than ever.  I’m hoping she’ll live many more years.

She still goes EVERYWHERE with me, except work of course, and sleeps under the covers at my feet every night.  What a wonderful dog she remains to be!!!  I am so glad that you let me have her, and I will be forever thankful.  She is my once in a lifetime dog.

Silas, I take about 50% where I go.  I’m getting him warmed up to be my constant buddy in the future.  He’ll sleep on the bed until Michael kicks him off, and when I’m out of town with Kona, Michael lets Silas sleep with him all night.  Pretty funny (for someone who started out not wanting dogs in the bed at all.  🙂  )  But we all know that weims can be pretty good at convincing us that they belong there.  Michael adores Silas, and even says “He’s MY dog!”  We all really love him, and he fits into the family beautifully.

I think about you every time I drive through Ontario (which has been at least every other month for the last two years).

Breeder’s Note: Jubel was originally placed with another family who lived in Bend. They were unable to keep Jubel and MaryAnn had room in her heart and family for him. Thank you MaryAnn! MaryAnn’s friend Ann also has an OwyheeStar Weimaraner named Grayson.

Heartfelt Thanks to MaryAnn……

No Fairweather Hunters here…

Hunting in North Dakota...

Steve hunts frequently with his 2 OwyheeStar Weimaraners (Tonto and Cosmo). Living near Bismark, ND means some great opportunities for upland game.  Some people feel Weims are fair weather hunters but as you can see Steve hunts during the entire season regardless of the weather. We thank him for this photo update….

Starting the Season with a Rooster!

Last Hunt of the Year!

We appreciate our hunters……..

We especially appreciate those photos taken in the field…….

Note: Steve sent several other working pictures that we may be able to post at a later date. It is so great to see his success. We do know the extra effort it is to take actual hunting photos. When you are in the field you are busy hunting. Photos are wonderful later, however, at the time you are there to enjoy the moment.
