~Camping with Duchess & Co
We made a quick trip up to Goose Lake while our house was being shown this weekend. Duchess was a natural except she doesn’t like it when the cattle walk through our camp-that got her riled up, I wasn’t a fan either!
No fish were caught to Foster’s dismay, but all and all it was a good overnight trip despite the rain and cow pies at least they slept on the way home!
You know how we love seeing the Weims participate in family fun. Camping looks to be exhausting. (Haha) Thank you — for getting us this news that makes a lovely blog post. It is truly appreciated.
~Rabies shot day!
She is waiting patiently. After our shot we went to Lowe’s and Foster made a comment “people are sure a lot nicer when you have a dog!” Lol!
Duchess got a lot of attention from other customers AND treats from the checker at the store so even though she was a little shy she had a positive experience.
~ And Water, Too!
Diesel is so into the ball! He loves the water retrieve. Oh, and by the way, Duchess did well in the water too!
As always, my boy Foster is in the mix. He and the Weims–they are pretty much my life.
Yes, Duchess who is about six-months old now also swam. She loves the water. She is a natural.
We wish you lovely summer weather–and lots of opportunities to enjoy the water as well as the sunshine this summer.
~She’s Getting Bigger
She is our little girl and we love her with all our hearts. She loves the back yard and caught her first frisbee midair she loves playing ball , jumping into the hammock with mom. Her favorite thing in the yard is the fountain it is three tier and she likes the bottom she will drink water out of it and let all the water run down her face we now call it the dog wash.
It sounds like Miss Astra is doing well. The fountain thing is a hoot. Thanks for the share–we all enjoyed it.
~Can Mean a lot of things
You might remember that we picked up Duchess not all that long ago–and our Diesel was not all that thrilled with her arrival at first. He wasn’t bad, but his attitude said, “and I don’t think we need this.” So, we were off and running back to the Two-Weim family again, hoping that Diesel would fall in love with Duchess, too.
Fast Forward six-weeks
School is officially out. This is what I see as I leave for work–Foster and the two Weims snuggled in. This boy is not short on Weim snuggles!
We are getting out into the community, too! Since we got back the good results from the recent titer test (showing we were protected from the Parvovirus), we have gotten out and about. For one, we made it to the dog park, and I now have two really tired Weims.
Yes, Duchess will rule the roost, it is what it is. Scout and Diesel aren’t impressed where HER game of keep away with the ball 😂Well, here is the look that speaks volumes from our boy, Diesel.
I figured Duchess had already been swimming at your place. She took to the water naturally. Later, I learned that you didn’t have water in the pond, and this was her first water experience. Wow–and she swam, too!
We love hearing about Diesel and Duchess. It was especially sweet to learn that she is a natural in the water. Have a fun summer–Foster, has a job.
~Andi’s Formal Training Begins Soon
Andi has her Forever Family right where she wants them–close at heart. We received the results from the titer test (done by Dr. Calhoun’s Idaho Veterinary Hospital–Nampa, Idaho)–Andi is safe to go out in public. Hurrah!
She doesn’t bark but sometimes she squeeks with good cheer. Millie used to do that, Weimie squeaks, there’s nothing cuter.
What a wonderful dog she is. I set up her crate which she immediately got into and sat telling me, “I got this.” She adores my 5 yo grandson. No indoor messes. She prances behind me everywhere I go. She loves her toys keeping them all in a pile, her pile. She is not destructive in any way, tho I did move all my house plants up and gave a few away. She is absolutely the best! She’s a people dog. Does she know how to bark?? Thunder outside right now, she is not bothered at all, calm and happy.
She is so well adjusted. Thank you for all you and Cliff did to socialize her. She is a very fast learner, she is so willing to please.
~Meet Up Again
Saturday we too Andi and Alli (Dahlia X Boone) to get a Titer Test at the Idaho Veterinary Hospital in Nampa, Idaho. As it happens, Sheila and Foster were there for the same thing with Duchess.
So, the three sisters had a moment. Andi has her forever family in Nampa with Nancy and Sam–there will be an update this week. Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy this short video.
~Head over Heels
She has stolen our hearts and I am happy to share a few recent snapshots of her. Astra is doing great we had fun at the beach with her.
~ Best in Class (haha)
Astra completed her first puppy classes and won best youngster at Mutts and Moms Cannon Beach.
We are so happy to hear that Astra is excelling on every level. Thank you, for remembering us.
Keep going Astra–you rock!
Astra is doing great she knows sit come stay. She goes for walks with us. She loves playing squeaky ball. S he is so sweet, and she loves snuggling with mommy.
Thank you for our baby ~ Tanya
We are thrilled to hear that Astra has settled into a good routine–doing all the essential things. Of course, snuggling might be at the top of the list.
Not so long ago–she was loaded in the crate on her way to join her forever family. It is funny how in a very short time it seems like they have been with us forever.
Good morning! Duchess slept through the night and was a bit of a bed hog! Imagine that!
Duchess was such a cuddly bug last night! When I sat down this morning with my coffee she curled up on my lap next the to cat. It was a pretty awesome morning! Now I am excited for Saturday morning when I don’t have to get up and get ready for work.
Foster has Diesel
~Duchess is for me, right?
Well, I will share her of course (with Foster)–but not all the time. Still, these guys have my heart. Here are some photos from picking her up to getting settled in at home. Diesel is still working on the idea –he and Duke were friends, but she is something new and different.
My beautiful boy, Foster, is infected with the Weimaraner virus. I think we are both hopelessly in love with these wonderful creatures.
Dear Sheila–I am sad you lost the beloved Duke, at the same time I am happy you had Diesel there to bridge the gap. He and Foster made the loss a bit less if anything could. We are also delighted that we happened to have a gorgeous Silver Gray Female that could slip into your life. (BTW) It was precious to see Foster and how he reacted to the whole process. He is such a sweet boy, with a big heart. You are a good Mama.
