The Beloved Mesquite
I just want to send you a note celebrating The Beloved Mesquites 10th birthday. She has lived in her forever home with us here in Washington for just a little over three years now. She has been a great joy for us.
I was a little hesitant at first, because I had always owned Vizsla’s, I really knew nothing about Weimaraner’s, in the past three years I have changed my mind. The Weim is the most well mannered, intelligent dog I have been around. She wants to be a people rather than a dog.She loves going places in the car. When we first got her she would get sick riding in the car, not anymore. I think she was just nervous. Now when the car starts up she wants to go. She doesn’t bother a thing.
During the hot weather and the smoke from wild fires burning in the area now, I have been letting her stay inside as much as possible. She has decided she wants to sleep in bed with us. We started out with her on her mat, but she didn’t want any part of that, she wanted to be in the bed with us. Now I fix her a spot at the foot of the bed and she stays there all night. I figured that was safer than having a 70 lb. dog land on you, unexpectedly. If she needs to go outside, she gives you the famous ear flap. No doubt what she wants. We are both so glad that you and Cliff chose us for Mesquites forever home. She is greatly appreciated and loved.
Thank you, Lyle and Annette. I hope Porsche’s owner sees this, because Porsche is one of Mesquites offspring, I believe?
Hello Lyle and Annette–thanks for thinking of us. It is hard to believe that Mesquite is ten years old. What a fabulous Golden Year Placement she got when you found us. Yes, Porsche is a Mesquite X Stackhouse pup.
