Addie
Adapting, Accommodating, and Moving Furniture

Somewhere in our decision making process, we landed on getting an older puppy. So instead of bringing home an 8 week old pup from Owyheestar, we brought home 8 month old Addie. What a ride! You can try to be ready for anything, and then there’s reality. We’re glad to be retired with the time for our wonderfully challenging new job.
Addie moving to town has meant big adjustments for her and us. She’s afraid of some people and situations and then thrives in many others. We’re all learning what works and what needs work. I think she’s finally figured out that it doesn’t pay to get into a stubborn contest with me.
She just sailed through two weeks of recuperation after being spayed and is back to hiking and bounding through the house. One of our adjustments was rearranging furniture to accommodate her preferred zoomie path.
Every day she makes us laugh, pull out our hair, and be so thankful we brought her home. All (well, most) is well…
Breeder Comment
We are happy to know you are surviving and that Addie is doing well. The ups and downs of the Weimaraner are a thing–you have done marvelously. I think my favorite part is the rearranging of the furniture–what a great picture that poses.
