Hello From OwyheeStar
~Cliff, Shela, and the Weimaraners
April 25, 2020

The water is in the ditch, and we see some farmers are irrigating. It remains to be seen how the crop thing works out this year–farmer have been hit hard by the COVID-19 thing. But that is not the only obstacle they face–wind did considerable damage to onions which were planted across the road. It remains to be seen how the crop does–another field may be replanted.
Our alfalfa is coming along–we don’t know how much value it will have since our primary market was local dairy farmers. Speaking of cutbacks, they have been hit harder than most. Having to cutback means less demand for hay.
AT OWYHEESTAR

Well, it is that time of the year. Cliff got the water going and filled the pond. What does that mean–puppy swims. Well, as you probably know Hope and Martee have made use of the pond recently, too.
This Week On the Blog…
As always, thanks to our faithful OwyheeStar contributors–they make this all possible. (Haha) We sincerely hope our readers enjoyed these updates as much as we did, too. We have more than usual, but we will get them all used. Thank you!
If you have a story that you will let me share–I need at least three sentences and a decent photo. I prefer to receive it via email. (FYI–we only use stories that feature the OwyheeStar Weimaraner).

On a very personal note

The greenhouse is seeing a bit more time. Yesterday, I attempted to do a bit of work, but found competition. The kind that buzzes you and warns you that you are in their territory–I think we have a problem. Something is going to give, and unfortunately for the resident wasps, I am claiming the greenhouse. They are out.
Cliff has been busy cleaning up, getting the water in the pond, and now the grass (as well as the weeds) are growing. (Haha) Every season has its challenges, but we much prefer Spring and Summer to Winter.

The cyclamen is reminding me about life. Just when the last blooms are fading and there is the wondering if there will be more, I discover about ten new buds ready to explode into bloom soon. OMG I love that plant so much.
