Hello From OwyheeStar

COVID-19 is in the Treasure Valley. There are several cases, but we continue to be optimistic. A few businesses are open, but a lot are closed–like restaurants. We could drive to Idaho, across the border, but can you imagine? I am sure people are dining there if the restaurants are open. Here in Ontario–it is the curbside or takeout type of thing. I sincerely hope people support our smaller independent restaurants.

Cliff and I are staying at the farmhouse as much as it is possible. We have supplies and food, but on occasion we pick up something we need from town. We will continue to do this as the need arises.

AT OWYHEESTAR

We have been busy with the puppies and taking care of inquiries. It has been an interesting mix of activities–some were more enjoyable than others. (Haha) Meanwhile, Christina celebrated 23 candles yesterday–this is where I joke that I was 12 years old when I married Cliff. (OMG)

This Week On the Blog…

As always, thanks to our faithful OwyheeStar contributors–they make this all possible. (Haha) We sincerely hope our readers enjoyed these updates as much as we did, too. We hope everyone noticed the post regarding vaccine. We hate to keep bringing up this topic, but it is a Weimaraner thing.

If you have a story that you will let me share–I need at least three sentences and a decent photo. I prefer to receive it via email. (FYI–we only use stories that feature the OwyheeStar Weimaraner).

On a very personal note

Like everyone, I am out of school. No more pottery until the Fall term. I will focus on gardening–that will be more than enough to keep me occupied. Inside the farmhouse, my fern is thriving as well as the cyclamen.

Cliff is working on the puppy yards–we need some additional fencing. But more importantly, he bought us a new toilet, and this new set will include a bidet. All he has to do is to get it installed. I think that the lighted toilet seat is a plus.

Cliff is still trapping gophers–he is up to 19. That is excellent. Quite a few were pregnant–large bellies. That makes it even better to get them before they produce pups. He is also working on the old John Deere–it is taking an unplanned sabbatical. (OMG)

Ashley pulled in to see us for a moment on Thursday–well, she didn’t get out of the car. She came to pick up some Chicken Corn and Black Bean Chowder I made for them. I put it through the passenger window onto the seat. It was in a container, of course. (Haha) I heard back from them that they loved it a lot. We are glad to help out a bit.
