Hello From OwyheeStar
~Cliff, Shela, and the Weimaraners

Well, it is happening in Ontario, too. The shelves are getting bare–or at least last time we were in a grocery, it was shocking. On Thursday, I went into a local canned food store and saw this on the shelf. Today, we heard it everywhere we went–people looking for toilet paper.
Cliff and I needed a few things, so we dropped into Waremart–they had a sign limiting each person to two packages of toilet paper–not to worry because there wasn’t any on the shelf. The sugar and most of the flour were gone–many of the other shelves were bare. The meat counter was losing the battle–everything wasn’t gone just yet, but choices were getting slimmer. Like everywhere, the hand sanitizer, disinfecting supplies, etc. have vanished.
AT OWYHEESTAR

Amid the panic, we focus on puppies. It is a lot of work–that is a given. It is also a joy. This season of fear will move on by, and life will get back to normal. Meanwhile, we will do what we do here.
This Week On the Blog…
I mentioned my supply of material for the blog –that folder disappeared. Some of you were kind enough to send along an update. We do so appreciate your effort.
As always, thanks to our faithful OwyheeStar contributors–they make this all possible. (Haha) We sincerely hope our readers enjoyed these updates as much as we did, too. We hope everyone noticed the post regarding vaccine. We hate to keep bringing up this topic, but it is a Weimaraner thing.
If you have a story that you will let me share–I need at least three sentences and a decent photo. I prefer to receive it via email. (FYI–we only use stories that feature the OwyheeStar Weimaraner).

On a very personal note

I’ve been working in the greenhouse on and off. Yesterday I planted some seeds–lettuce, green onions, tomatoes, and Hibiscus. Yes Cliff–I am trying to grow some for our garden. You know how much I love them.
Cliff found his antique gopher trap–and he has been keeping on top of the trapping. I think he got the one that dug in the garden, puppy yards, and even got in the greenhouse. That one had a death sentence if you know what I mean. (OMG)
We have been taking care of business just like always, but we even dined out –not yet in fear of exposure. We think it is essential to keep things like usual, while possible. There were a lot of cars in town–Home Depot was packed. Well, the groceries were everyone insanely busy.

We are still working on the master bath–when I say we, I mean Cliff. (Haha) We picked our base yesterday–pebbles.
The stones are flat and easier on the feet–but give the appearance of walking over a stone path. I am so excited about this choice. Our son, Rich, mentioned it–I am glad he did. He has such good taste.

I made Cliff some ugly brownie cookies and filled them icing–to make them a bit like an Oreo. He says they are good–I guess this might become a thing. I need to get a sugar-free recipe that tastes as good. (OMG) Guess I will call them Ugly Cookies from here forward.
