….his earlier habit of shredding sweaters ended by Christmas and so far (this won’t last) he’s not really counter surfing. I think we are, ourselves, well trained about not leaving out anything we don’t want a dog to destroy. 

I also think chewing on moose antlers has slowed kept him occupied. He doesn’t destroy stuff animals…we’ve had dogs who would do it like it was a contest and they were being timed on “how fast can you skin that rabbit”.  Our old Weim Temblor had a couple of toys he loved to the end that he’d had since puppy hood. Tarmac is more like him than our old boy Tsukiji (who thought it was his job to seek and destroy anything with stuffing).
