Hello From OwyheeStar

Sunrise October 21 2017

For all those hoping for a lot of snow, it appears they got their wish. The upper-country has plenty for skiing, snowmobiling, and such. Locally, on the valley floor, we had snow–but it was minimal. Nevertheless, snow and dangerous driving conditions closed the Interstate between here and Pendleton and other roads. Fortunately for us, the roads appear clear for today’s drive. There is some chance of snow showers–but they are talking less than 1/2 inch.

AT OWYHEESTAR

Bernie’s pups are leaving this week. That meant a trip to Nampa, and another trip today to meet Pacific Northwest people near Pendleton. It has been the usual–a lot of behind the scenes work–as well as clean up.

This Week On the Blog…

As always, thanks to our faithful OwyheeStar contributors–they make this all possible. (Haha) We sincerely hope our readers enjoyed these updates as much as we did, too. If you have a story that you will let me share–I need at least three sentences and a decent photo. I prefer to receive it via email. (FYI–we only use stories that feature the OwyheeStar Weimaraner).

Sunday— January 12 — Behind the Scenes with Christina

Wednesday January 15 — Therapy

Thursday –- January 16 —  Play Date

Friday — January 17 — Naomi and Sage

On a very personal note

Jackson had his first encounter with Great Grandpa Cliff–and I held this sweet little package for the first time, too. And as you can see, Grandpa and Christina looked over her new wheels together.

We picked up the little PT Cruiser in Boise on the day that Jackson was born. That same day, Cliff’s cousin (Bill Nielsen) said his final goodbye and departed this world for a better venue.

Meanwhile, there is always the basketball–last evening the Ontario Tigers went down to LaGrande; however, Bradley Nielsen had numerous blocks, rebounds, etc.,–plus 23 points. It was a good night for our grandson.
