Naomi and Sage

This picture of Naomi is from last summer. She had found a hankie and put it on Sage like a blanket. Sage has such a sweet way with children. She seems especially fond of them. (Naomi, my Goddaughter, is now seven but only weighs 35 lbs.) Naomi’s Spina bifida means she sometimes has required special medical care–most recently a surgical procedure to replace both ends of the shunt. Naomi is doing great, getting back to her old self. Praise God.

Naomi gets around with crutches that fasten to her wrists now. She can walk a few steps without them but then falls on her butt. She is always so excited and has such a zest for life.

Naomi also loves the dogs. When she was younger, she would beg to go into the penned area with them, but once in there, with Copper towering over her licking her face, she would cry. Then she would want to be with them again. Naomi and Sage do well together–Sage has such a sweet way with children. She seems especially fond of them.

Breeder Comment

When Lara shared this photo and a bit of information, I asked permission to share it with our readers. She said I could. This story is such a sweet one. You might remember that Sage is a retired OwyheeStar and Roxie was a return–both were rehomed with Lara. We are ever so thankful and glad to hear that Sage loves children.
