GREETINGS FROM FAR EASTERN OREGON
~October 19, 2019

The weather conditions are finally Fall-like–and to my liking. (Haha) I love the cool mornings and the temperate daytime temperatures. Of course, it also means football–and we especially love watching college games. We follow and root for several teams–especially our Northwest ones–Oregon State, Oregon, Washington–, but Boise State is closest to us as well as our heart. Go Broncos!
We have been holding our breath a lot lately–but when it comes to our alfalfa, all is good–the bales are in the stack near the railroad-right-away. And this morning, we could not be happier about this fact–we currently have a Western-Oregon-style downpour. Last evening as we traveled to town and on toward Boise, we saw farmers working late–clouds of dust surrounding machinery and what looked to be corn going into trucks.
AT OWYHEESTAR
The work with Hattee’s pups continues. Our week will be focused entirely on having them prepared to leave by the weekend. It is a bittersweet proposition. (Haha) To be without any puppy faces is sad in a way–but a break is also welcome. Nonetheless, we are hoping for Longhairs to be born in November.
And we should mention that a courier brought us our Next-Generation Blue Stud Dog–Martee. We will get some photos soon–asap.
This Week On the Blog…

Sunday’s story was about the Salem Playdate–which is hosted by Bill and Nancy Garin. I must admit they are loyal OwyheeStar folks–but they love dogs and the Weimaraner in particular. I am sure they were happy to learn that a couple of people became aware of the event and made plans to join in the fun.
I was running short on blog material (as you well know)–and the call brought in some good ones. Thank you! If you have a story that you will let me share–I need at least three sentences and a decent photo. I prefer to receive it via email. (FYI–we only use stories that feature the OwyheeStar Weimaraner).
As always, thanks to our faithful OwyheeStar contributors–they make this all possible. (Haha) We sincerely hope our readers enjoyed these updates as much as we did, too.

On a very personal note
As weeks go–this one was somewhat quiet. I mean, we had work to do. Cliff did a bang-up job on fixing one corner of my unfinished kitchen, so I now have more storage. It is fabulous. He also sealed the greenhouse roof–and since we currently have a considerable downpour, we will discover how well that sealant worked all too soon. Here’s to having my fingers crossed.
Stackhouse is always there with us– it seems. Here he is prepared to root for Boise when they score and to help me watch Cliff while he is working on the Greenhouse.
There was more work at the Art Department –or as Cliff thinks of it, my playing in the mud –a diversion from the Weimaraner thing. I might need one, you know. (Haha) I have a few things in the works–possibly some of it will be better than fair. I hope.
