~Our Hearts Are Heavy

Since I stopped hunting With CZ two years ago she has been Bonnie’s constant companion. In every way she remained the perfect dog; sweet, well mannered, easily trained, entertaining, loyal and on and on. Just about the best of eight dogs over the years. Matched only by, well, a previous Weimaraner!

We said farewell to CZ today (Sept 13, 2019). She was Bonnie’s beloved companion and my steadfast hunting partner. Well traveled, she worked afield In Washington, Oregon, California, and South Dakota in pursuit of grouse, chukars, and pheasants, mostly pheasants. She loved the chase, but she was happiest with her friends and with Bonnie on her daily outings at the dog park.
