2019 Weekly Synopsis

GREETINGS FROM FAR EASTERN OREGON

    ~January 26, 2019

Sunrise October 21 2017

Last week’s mud fest is slowly drying up. The snow that arrived a couple of days ago is long gone. Our temperatures seem to drop below freezing but rise to the 40-degree range. I hear there might be a few days we don’t get above freezing. Honestly, I hope this end of the Treasure Valley holds to the trend of warming.

AT OWYHEESTAR

We are busy with the puppy thing. We have the long-awaited Longhairs. We only got two Blue Longhairs to the chagrin of many. One person agreed to accept the lovely Gray Longhair–it will be her second.

We have Spring pups–they are earlier than we would like. There is not much we can do to control the female’s heat cycle. Anyhow, as you can imagine, we are engaged with the business of puppies. It demands our focus.

At the Three Cliff’s Sanctuary–What fun we had!

This Week On the Blog…

We started off with the puppy faces. (Haha) There is no doubt; however, that the top story of the week was Phillip getting his beloved Kali Blue back after five years. Can I say be sure to register your microchip–these neighborhood folks that picked up Kali got lucky early on because the first Vet didn’t locate the microchip. Through some miracle–a few months back, they had to visit a different Vet. This one found the microchip and discovered the ownership discrepancy. Maybe you have been following this on our blog as well as Facebook. It is a heartwarming story.

Sunday— January 20 — Faces

Monday–- January 21 — Grooming

Tuesday — January 22 — Bella Rae

Wednesday — January 23 — Cat and Mouse

Thursday –- January 24 —  Kali Blue

Friday — January 25 — Maggie

On a very personal note

Other than our work around the farm, the old farmhouse, and the puppies–we have basketball. I hope the above video works. We captured this and several other video clips of Nick’s game Thursday. Nick made two three-point shots and netted twelve points in the game as well as blocked shots, got rebounds, and such. He is the tallest kid on his team, like his brother (Brad) who is playing for the Ontario Varsity team.
