2018 Weekly Synopsis
GREETINGS FROM FAR EASTERN OREGON
~AUGUST 18, 2018
The cooling trend arrived. A storm last evening. Of course, then there are the lightning strikes that often cause more fires. Everywhere seems to have poor air quality due to the smoke–especially the valley areas. No one is exempt. I hope this didn’t ignite more burns.
Our hay was baled and found its way into the stack. Now it is back to getting water on it again. Another cutting is not all that far off.
AT OWYHEESTAR
We have the litter of pups–it and all the things that go with this situation are keeping us insanely busy. (Haha) It is all good, even when it requires our attention. Our little helpers were back. What a blessing!

On a very personal note
Things continue much as usual–the garden, the farm, the grandkids get the bulk of our time and attention. Oh, and of course, there is always the Weims. We cannot forget them. Just before the baler arrived we snapped a few photos atop the bales.
Earlier this morning I wrote how we had gone out for dinner. Friday evenings we sometimes dine out. Matsy’s is our favorite place in Ontario. Just as we finished our dinner a couple came in the front door (we were seated near there) and as they walked by I felt as if I knew the woman. I said to Cliff, “I think that is Rosanne Namba.” By then they had passed our table. We really couldn’t get a decent look now or before without being kind of rude, you understand. (Haha) As we stood to leave my eyes locked onto the woman’s eyes and in an instant, someone from the past connected. We had a little moment there, and it was great.
