Boone is a good looking boy, how old? Who is he out of?
He will be two May 1st. ………….He was acquired and not out of anything of note. It was a huge risk, but we liked what we heard and saw. Previously, we purchased a male out of top lineages from a retired Air Force guy–you would think he would be quality, right. Well, that Weim had hip dysplasia at six months of age. There were a lot of other undesirable factors, too. He was undersized–way too small. You would have thought that would be easy on the hips, huh? His temperament was not what we were looking and his looks paled in comparison to Boone, Blue, or Dusty. After we got Boone–his father got an excellent hip rating. Whatever that counts for it is a plus since Boones look good. Fresh blood (non-related) was important in our way of thinking. It is hard to acquire. Honestly, we have dropped so much. Once we gave an Eastern Breeder $ 600 for a deposit for a specific male. Then she said she decided to keep him–and basically too bad for us. Uh OMG and she offered us this Weim with his chest covered in white and socks up the feet and about an inch plus on the legs. Also, he had a huge hernia that needed surgical repair. We are not worried about the small ones–but that is something to be avoided. When we asked to get our deposit back because ……….well, this just wasn’t right. You would not believe what was said to us. Anyhow, we decided to take it on the chin and to count our blessings. Who would want to have a tie to such a person????
