2017 17th Saturday Recap
If You Don’t Like the Weather
~ Wait ten minutes
Spring weather has been interesting if nothing else. After 5 PM we received about a half and inch of rain. I know–for those who live in Western Oregon and Western Washington, this would be typical. However, in the high desert country of far Eastern Oregon, we don’t expect this type of downpour. The above video was taken on 18th Avenue–south of Ontario. We only saw two other vehicles and both pulled off because the pounding rain made it difficult. Not all that far from Ontario, they got snow. Later we received a dose of hail. Winter wants to have the last word with its threatening snow. Of course, this all followed on the heel of the summer-like weather.
Traveling To Boise
Yesterday the last of the 2017 Sadie X Stackhouse Litter (mostly Longhairs) joined their forever families. Christina and I met Dave at the Boise airport with Winston. What a trooper. Dave’s flight was delayed, so we waited longer. Then he was delayed getting out of Boise. Fortunately, he made it way from Boise before this storm hit or there would have been yet another delay.

On a very personal note
I purchased some paint for the utility bath. It is called Butter Rum–it might look a bit like Calf Scours. (oops) I put one coat on a small section of the wall to see what it might look like. It will (definitely) need two applications. I think we will like it when it is done.
I also went a more Holistic medical practitioner this week. I felt I had to do something because the medication I got from my doctor was seemingly making me worse. I honestly believe their diagnosis was partially wrong. I know they meant to help me, but in many ways, I got worse. I am on a super restricted diet and additional supplements to spark healing. I have already seen improvement, but I have a long way to go.
I am still doing the acupuncture every week. I have to drive to Meridian because the person slated to work Fruitland left the practice. They have a new hire; however, the process of getting them going is lengthy. They are hoping to have someone back at St. Lukes in Fruitland by June.
