OwyheeStar Week Forty-Eight 2016
Greetings From Far Eastern Oregon
Thanksgiving is in the rearview mirror along with Black Friday. We hope you more than survived both. The promise of winter storms is looming large; Cliff has to travel west today. From the looks of things, it seems that Sunday forward may see wetness and possibly in the shape of snow. We have the snow tires on the Patriot.
Bernie delivered a litter of pups a week ago today. She is four years old. We have tried to mate her in the past with no success. It made us wonder if we would ever get a litter from this sweet girl; however, this time Blue got the job completed. We are pleased as well as surprised.
This Week on the Blog
Here are the week’s posts if you wish you may review or visit them today! We started the week and ended with Longhairs. That wasn’t the plan per say; however, it worked out that way. The middle of our week featured a Thanksgiving message, Lu soaking in the heat register’s warmth, and two updates from folks we had not heard from for some time. It was a mix of topics and Weims.
Sunday— November 20 — Hank
Monday — November 21 — Going Strong
Tuesday — November 22 —Words Fall Short
Wednesday — November 23 — Colder Temps
Thursday — November 24 — Thanksgiving 2016
Friday — November 25 — Working the System
On a very personal note
Cliff has been installing the slate around the pellet stove. Well–the pellet stove is sitting outside awaiting the tiling to be complete. Once we have it done, I will post some photos. We will tile the entry too.
I have been busy with trying to organize the kitchen a bit more. In between the other projects, Cliff installs a shelf here and there. I am hoping we will get out to the one puppy yard which some pups pretty much destroyed and fill in the hole. Then it would be nice to rake in some grass seed. That way come spring it might do the filling in without us waiting to get the sod. Typically, it is not readily available in Eastern Oregon until mid-spring.
Thanks to You
There is no way we could ever thank you enough for your love and support. We are immensely grateful for those who continually provide us with the material for the blog. Unfortunately, sometimes this is only photos and no script. We can fill in a bit when necessary; however, we like to keep the integrity of your writing real. A couple of sentences can go a long way–sometimes it is enough. Those that have sent us updates know we are more than likely to post it word-for-word.
There is no end in sight of our farmhouse remodel. We are doing it ourselves, and it is the installment plan–we are not borrowing to do this. We buy something and install it. Therefore, having the updates is greatly appreciated than usual–it is always a blessing!
