OwyheeStar Week Fifteen 2016

Greetings From Far Eastern Oregon

Getting There_2032What a week! I started the same way when writing the week fourteen Saturday synopsis. This week was more so as we have moved to the farmhouse. There is more on this topic in our personal note below; however, this move affects the Weims too! They have made the transition and are doing amazingly well. Stackhouse checked out the process early yesterday–last evening he sat on the sofa with me and pressed his face into my chest. Do you think that was his (the Stackhouse) seal of approval? Other Treasure Valley news is the summer temperatures we are experiencing. Today we expect to be in the 80’s. Cliff has got to find the time to get the sprinklers going on our lawn. It is getting stressed–much like you would expect.

This Week on the Blog

Century Link_2053Can you agree it was an interesting mix of blogs? The Friday Blog came late because the phone company disconnected us early on Thursday and didn’t get us up and running until after lunch on Friday. We are happy it didn’t take any longer. We are glad to be connected. Thank you, Century Link for getting us back online.  (Speaking of this week’s blogs), there were the Bed Hog and Ear-Ball posts that were just fun; not to forget, Luna’s pink nails. Rupert and Jean’s Skye made a bigger splash. Finally, we got our later (but not forgotten) Friday Blog us. Yes, we were dog tired, but we remembered you folks were wondering what happened to up. Thank you! This blog would not be possible without our the followers and the support you offer (stories, photos, and whatnot).

Sunday—April 3 — Bed Hog

Monday — April 4 — Life with Rupert

Tuesday — April 5 — Got Nose

Wednesday — April 6 — Ear-Ball

Thursday  — April 7 — Luna Spotlight

Friday  — April 8 — Cliff and Shela

On a very personal note

Cliff and I have pressed into the process of moving, and we have made it to the farmhouse. (Whew) It is a new day. We are about the business of this and that — a little more each moment. More than anything we need a kitchen sink and the reverse osmosis. Our nitrates are high, so we don’t drink the water without processing it–nor do the Weims. That is a lot of water hauling as you might guess.

Guest Room_2046We don’t expect overnight guests anytime soon.IMG_2056 It is a good thing because our once pristine guestroom now looks like this photo. (Lol) We pushed our headboard against the wall and the bed there as well–it needs more work (I should say installed, but there are modifications). The other things in the bedroom were fantastic thanks to Cliff. He has the two lights that can be used as a reading light or can be dimmed as a night light. We slept well and felt at home this morning. This place just makes me happy. I cannot explain it–it is a matter of the heart. If you are on Facebook and interested you can check out our Facebook Farmhouse (Moving Cliff and Shela) Page– Click Here! This home gives us a very simple and modest lifestyle. It seems right to my soul. We send good vibes to you from our home to yours.

As Always

(Note–thank you to all of you who continue to send us updates. There is a lot to be learned from other Weimlovers; it puts a smile on our faces too!)

There is no way we could ever thank you enough for your love and support. We are immensely grateful for those who continually provide us with the material for the blog. Unfortunately, sometimes this is only photos and no script. There is no end in sight of our farmhouse remodel. We are doing it ourselves, and it is the installment plan–we are not borrowing to do this. We buy something and install it. Therefore, having the updates is greatly appreciated than usual–it is always a blessing! DSC_0134edit

  1. I’m so sure Stackhouse loves his new kingdom :o) don’t forget to dream about wonderful things, they say the first dream in a new home comes true :o)

  2. This is a heart happy place

  3. Congratulations Cliff & Shela! It’s so fun to see your pictures after reading about the progress for so many months. I loved seeing Stackhouse too. Send more pics of all of your Weims–the parents of our beloved!😉

  4. Glad you liked it — I will try to work on more photos. I have 70,000 plus. Managing them is well overwhelming. I am trying to get an assortment for every Weim.

  5. I hear ya! Now that I am retired, I have a goal to organize photos of my babies–who are now ages 36 and 38! 😱
