OwyheeStar Week Fourteen 2016

Greetings From Far Eastern Oregon

Old Apricot Tree 2016-6

Old Apricot Tree 2016-10What a week! We began with Easter and ended with April Fool’s Day–unless we are counting today’s recap of the week’s blog. Thank you, ever so much for traveling along with us. It is always about the same thing–the Weimaraner. We know we have this one thing in common.
Weather reports have been the usual crazy spring type. Winter was pressing in and making itself known. Old man winter exhibited the not ready to exit on time attitude that is often prevalent. We should expect this behavior; however, when one is thinking daffodils along comes a blizzard. In Eastern Oregon; we were spared the indignity of digging out as well as the extra mud.  Instead, we are enjoying early summer-like weather and temps. Not among the fooled; the April Fool’s Joke may come a day or two late and give us a freezing jolt that hits our local fruit trees. This scenario refers to the hobbyist with a few trees; orchard owners have ways to protect their fruit. Our old apricot tree needs pruning, and yet, it might not live through pruning. We will let it be for now. It bloomed, and we will see what comes of the event. We took the photos early this morning.

This Week on the Blog

The most popular blog this week was the Easter Sunday one–featuring bunny ears and the bow tie. Lu running for Prezident (yes, we know the spelling is off) was a fun surprise too! Everyone was delightful–at least the client update ones. Thank you!

Sunday—March 29 — Bunny Ears or Bow Tie (Happy Easter!)

Monday — March 28 — Going Places (Ilsa and Indi)

TuesdWischeman's Miles--1212_nay — March 29 — Willow Says (Finders-Keepers)

Wednesday — March 30 — Voting for Lu  (Lu for President)

Thursday  — March 31 — Arliss  (Birds and Arliss)

Friday  — April 1 — OwyheeStar’s Succeeding with the Weimaraner.10 (part two)

On a very personal note

Sinkside Utility Cabinet April 1 2016-2.jpgCliff and I have not met River Rose in person yet. We didn’t want to share something like that cold we have been fighting. They did not need that at their house.

We have been moving furniture. We hope to move our bed in this coming week. I cannot guess what day will take us that far. We have made a list of what needs to be done before we make the physical move. Even then, we will be moving things over a period of weeks. Our deadline is May 1st–there is plenty to be figured out between now and then. Above you see a cabinet that we had. We moved it and reversed the doors. I (Shela) am so fortunate to have a sweet guy who is talented.

As Always

(Note–thank you to all of you who continue to send us updates. There is a lot to be learned from other Weimlovers; it puts a smile on our faces too!)

There is no way we could ever thank you enough for your love and support. We are immensely grateful for those who continually provide us with the material for the blog. Unfortunately, sometimes this is only photos and no script. There is no end in sight of our farmhouse remodel. We are doing it ourselves, and it is the installment plan–we are not borrowing to do this. We buy something and install it. Therefore, having the updates is greatly appreciated than usual–it is always a blessing! DSC_0134edit
