OwyheeStar Week Eleven 2016

Greetings From Far Eastern Oregon

Dusty-4342-2“Woof” Dusty likes to be our doorbell. Everyone needs a good one, but once we get farmhouse situated, he won’t be near the entry. He is perplexed as to why such a thing would occur.
Everything is speaking spring forward as well as whispering sweet promises of blooms and gardening. We saw someone mowing lawns this week. The grass didn’t call for mowing. Nonetheless,  the mower was busy putting a finishing touch to make April ready. The time change is on people’s mind. The earlier arrival happens tomorrow morning. There is the required adjustment –morning an hour earlier it not everyone’s cup of tea. It may well require an extra cup of coffee to get the engine started. Somehow I believe the Weims will adjust to an earlier start easier than us. Nevertheless, in a few months it will be another time change, and then we will be asking the Weims to wait for dinner, a walk, or whatever. How does that work at your house?

On a very personal note

Whelping Room_1695Cliff has been working in the whelping room. With any luck, we will need it in a couple of weeks. We have to be ready for the arrival of pups. Once he gets things installed, I can get everything put away that is possible. I tried to take a quick photo. The room is tiny, but it has a lot of storage. Maybe I can get other photos when it is complete. We paneled it for easy cleaning–the whelp process is messy. It is adjacent to the master bath, so there is an exhaust fan which is a huge plus. You can see one of the two cupboards. The other side of the room has a huge cabinet with storage to the ceiling.
Cliff is moving on toward the texture in the office, the kitchen, and utility laundry so we can get it painted. Moving day is approaching, and the painting needs to be done before we move in. There will be plenty not finished. Cliff is doing an excellent job.

As Always

(Note–thank you to all of you who continue to send us updates. There is a lot to be learned from other Weimlovers; it puts a smile on our faces too!)

There is no way we could ever thank you enough for your love and support. We are especially grateful for those who continually provide us with the material for the blog. Unfortunately, sometimes this is only photos and no script. There is no end in sight of our farmhouse remodel. We are doing it ourselves, and it is the installment plan–we are not borrowing to do this. We buy something and install it. Therefore, having the updates is greatly appreciated than usual–it is always a blessing! DSC_0134edit

  1. we had to do mow our lawn last week, but it wasn’t the best time… with the wet ground it was more a plowing :o) I’m sure the pups who will enter this world in some weeks will like the new whelping room :o)
