Sticks are a Thing!
We discussed this yesterday, and Charlie Blue showed off her beautiful collection of sticks. Maverick (a Blue Longhair Weimaraner) is happy with his new Safe Stick.
Of course, you can’t visit the new baby without bringing them gifts, so we stopped at the pet store for toys.
Weimaraners are famous for the their love of sticks and grammy is a giant weanie, sticks can be really dangerous. We picked up Maverick a safe-stick.
Maverick got his first woody today.
Yes, Grandma is correct. Even the innocuous stick can be dangerous. Chewed wood bits can create havoc in the gut–sometimes an intestine puncture, intestinal blockages, or digestive discomfort. There have been reports of the Weimaraner raiding the wood pile and it had to be fenced. They do like to chew. They do like all kinds of wood. They have an affinity for sticks they can carry and gnaw.
