This Week at OwyheeStar

Greetings From Far Eastern Oregon

Spight's Charlie Mae Christmas Tree3904_oWe find ourselves surrounded by Christmas, and all that is associated. There will always be the bah humbug crowd; however, the celebration seems to relegate the naysayers to the background. (Hurrah!)

12112312_1235347359816111_2003387454819275647_nOne Idaho Family has their own tradition. While they have the two Weims (pictured left), only one is decorated every year as if she were a tree–the Longhair Charlie Mae. We are not sure she loves the idea; however, she works with it. What a girl Charlie Mae! Isn’t this a great share?

Whether you deck out your home in full attire or not, it is important to embrace the life that goes with all that is labeled Christmas. Most of the Weimlovers are in agreement with us. Their Weims are in the midst of all that is taking place, and tree side at the package opening. Usually, there are some for them too! Yes, the Weimaraner is an integral part of the family. For those that want a toss in the backyard or sit on the rug dog, there are many other better-suited breeds.

This Week on the Blog

This week (again) had so many great posts. If you missed them or want to revisit the posts, here are the links.

Sunday— December 6 — Question

Monday — December 7 — Tis The Season

Tuesday — December 8 — Forgetful Mama

Wednesday — December 9 — What Can I Say?

Thursday  — December 10 — Speechless

Friday  — December 11 — Murray

On a very personal note

IMG_1304We continue the same work–the farmhouse remodel and the Weimaraner thing. Shela has a myriad of appointments to keep her post-cancer issues in check.

The work on the house is moving along at a snail’s pace. Nonetheless, it makes our hearts happy to know one day soon we will get moved.

As Always

(Note–thank you to all of you who made sure I had enough material to make some fascinating and fun updates this week. I have exhausted the supply; however, several of you said you would send something along shortly. I have a few thoughts to work on as well. )

There is no way we could ever thank you enough for your love and support. We are especially grateful for those who continually provide us with the material for the blog. Unfortunately, sometimes this is only photos and no script. There is no end in sight of our farmhouse remodel. We are doing it ourselves, and it is the installment plan–we are not borrowing to do this. We buy something and install it. Therefore, having the updates is greatly appreciated than usual–it is always a blessing! DSC_0134edit

  1. That’s a super idea for my Weim-Christmas … but it will be probably a short time we have this Weim-tree :lo)
