Speaking from our Heart

Dear Friends, Family, and Weim-loving Fans…

530557_10202147731159198_2040102760_nWe wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. So many different individuals have taken the time to do something special for us. It would be impossible to list everyone. Nonetheless, we think of you often. Saturday, I was packing some of the office supplies we don’t have to have, as well as the old records. One flopped open to a client that recently brought home an OwyheeStar. This was their original application dated January of 2001. You might remember Luna, who resides with Bill and Nancy. She has been featured in several blogs. It was their original application. It reminded me how precious our relationships are to us.

There are several folks waiting for something from me (Shela). This is the norm. I am limited on what I can do at this time. Some things have to be entered with the keyboard, and there is the rub. My left arm is still swelling from the Lymphedema. This is due to the removal of 21 lymph nodes during breast cancer treatment. The swelling has been resistant to treatment. I am still seeing various specialists weekly, and Cliff and I hope that I can defeat this issue. It is very inconvenient to say the least.

The emailed photos and updates are very helpful. They mean I do not have to spend time at the keyboard putting together a daily blog on my own effort. I have several updates sitting in a folder. They won’t last long, but it is so great to know they are there, and more are probably on the way. We are grateful. It is helping me heal, but it also makes for good reading.

It seemed appropriate to stop and speak from the heart. On our Saturday blog, there is always the personal note. Nevertheless, some folks may not read the weekly synopsis. We know others wait for Saturday to read everything at one moment. We all have a different routine. We try to keep the daily blogs about the Weimaraner. Topics can vary, but the ones that require me to write them, are an arduous task. It doesn’t mean I dislike doing it, but it takes time. There are many rewrites, and whatnot. It is not a good time for me to be doing that type of thing. Nonetheless, I wanted to get this personal note written this morning. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

  1. I hope so much that the specialists will find a way to reduce the swelling. I’m so sorry that no treatment was helpful by now… and to type with one hand is difficult when you learnt it once to type with all 10 fingers…. (I currently have to type with one hand to cover the pains a little, that’s really annoying)

    • One-handed typing doesn;t work–but what can a person do? I am trying to stay off the keyboard as much as possible. I feel your pain, and hope you heal soon.

  2. Oh Shela, soooo frustrating when you have to deal with ongoing pain and suffering. My heart hurts for you. I hope you can find relief soon. I will be praying specifically for that. We will also send some photos and updates for you, hope that would be helpful, it is the least we could do.

    • I would love the update. You guys are awesome. I am so thankful for all I have. I do not think I can complain, but others might think I am rude saying I cannot do whatever. LOL It is the way things are at this time.

  3. Sheila, we think of you so often, send healing prayers your way, as you travel this path with courage, positive attitude, and appreciation of all of us who care about you and Cliff. Will post pics again soon if we can get Lu to slow down once in a while! HA. Sharyl and Steve in Sisters
