“Woof” I don’t need to say much. I am more of a doer than a talker. That doesn’t mean keeping everyone entertained is easy. A lot of times I find the best seat in the house (and I call it my director’s chair), to keep watch over the human element. That is more work than I want to mention. I have a very good sidekick. We sit close and share secrets. I am good at keeping secrets. “Woof!”
As families go, mine is a good fit. They like to camp. I like to camp. They like to snuggle, and I like to snuggle. I like to hunt, and my dad and I do that too. Did you happen to see my grouse? “Woof!” I don’t want to “toot” my own horn, so I just say, “Woof!”
Sometimes I get tired of sitting on a perch like royalty, and I get down and pretend I am the Court Jester. Do you know what they do for the royal family? They entertain them, and make them laugh. It is an important job. Ask anyone?
So, we set up Elk Camp. I watched, and supervised. I knew it was time to switch roles. I found myself a pine-cone and went to work. See what you think.
